About Goodman Ceramic Studio
Nestled amongst old school buildings and lush greenery is Goodman Ceramic Studio (GCS), located within Goodman Arts Centre. Just a 15-minute drive from the city centre and 3-minute walk from Mountbatten MRT, GCS is the perfect meeting place for budding and established ceramic artists in the community.
This is the ideal setting for inspiration and creative work.
Who Are We?
Goodman Ceramic Studio is run by a dedicated team of ceramicists and artists. Tiah Chang and Boon Choon, both dedicated potters with more than 20 years of experience, helm the wheel throwing programme. Susan Stack, the top rated teacher by kids, brings the clay to life for the young and not so young. Theresa, Ruby and Jenny keep the house in order and continue to bring the benefits of ceramics into the public and private sectors as well as the community at large.
Hazel Wong, Director, is an educator and ceramic muralist with more than 15 years of teaching experience. Her works at Goodman Ceramic studio is focused on structuring and maintaining quality educational programmes and services. Her work also includes identifying and setting up collaborative partnerships with various sectors.
Her artistic work includes public installation works such as HDB’s 50th Anniversary mosaic mural as well as the Youth Olympic Mural at Esplanade MRT station. Goodman Ceramic Studio is styled to exude a refreshing industrial chic ambiance. The space is light and spacious with luxurious foliage all around.
Available for your craft, we have in place 7 kilns ranging from 1.5 – 12 cubit feet for rental. Most kilns are production kilns with precise firing capabilities. We also stockist and sole agent for Laguna Clay, L & L Kilns and supply our own brand of boutique clay and glazes (GCS Glazes).
